Chamber Committees

Chamber programs and events are driven by member volunteers. Listed below are the current Chamber Committees. If you are a Chamber member and are interested in joining a committee, send us an email with your contact information and the Committee you would like to join and the Chamber office will contact you.


Taste of La Verne: Responsible for the largest event in La Verne and primary fundraising event LVCoC, this committee’s duties include marketing, sponsorship, logistics, public and community relations and website management for the Taste of La Verne.

Ambassador: This vital committee’s main function is providing support and assistance to new members of the La Verne Chamber of Commerce. They attend ribbon cuttings, mixers, and other events. Ambassadors also volunteer at various events to help register members and greet guests. By becoming an ambassador you will be visible in the community and have the chance to work with individual business owners.

Installation Dinner: Held annually during the month of June, this sell-out event is the forum for officially installing the new Board of Directors and Chair of the Board. It is also a time to thank retiring Board of Directors and honor the prior year’s Chair of the Board. Committee’s duties include marketing, sponsorship, logistics, public and community relations.

Community Yard Sale: Held semi-annually in the Spring and Fall The La Verne Chamber of Commerce, the City of La Verne, and Bonita High School host the Community Yard Sale. Committee’s duties include marketing, sponsorship, logistics, public and community relations.

Education and Workforce Development:   The Education and Workforce Development Committee supports excellence in education and promotes meaningful business/education relationships with public and private schools.

The committee is responsible for the coordination of the Teacher of the Year, Principal for a Day and other events or programs determined beneficial for the business/education community.

The committee meets monthly on the 4th Thursday 2:30-3:30 location TBD, beginning October 26.

Public Policy: This committee shall review those issues emanating from the public or government that are of concern to the business community, and shall recommend to the Board of Directors positions for the Chamber to take on each issue. The Committee shall be responsible for the preparation and dissemination of public pronouncements and information.
